Every year that Fred has been in the NBA, we prioritize organizing a trip to bring kids from Rockford to come see an NBA game. This initiative is a key part of the mission of the VanVleet Family Foundation. We believe in the power of sports to inspire and uplift young individuals, and we strive to provide them with unforgettable experiences.
To make this trip possible, we collaborate with the UKnighted Mentoring Group, Lady Auburn Knights Basketball Team, and the Junior NBA Kids. Together, we put together a comprehensive program that not only includes attending the game but also offers a unique opportunity for the kids to interact with Fred. We arrange for a bus to transport them from Rockford to Milwaukee, where the NBA game takes place.
Once the kids arrive at the game, they are filled with excitement and anticipation. Around 150 kids, accompanied by chaperones, get to witness the thrilling atmosphere of an NBA game firsthand.
